Our Lineage

We follow the path of Universal Sufism brought to the West by Hazrat Inayat Khan. Our teachings explore the deep wisdom of Mysticism found in all religions and draw inspiration from Sufi Poetry—including the works of Rumi and Hafiz—to awaken the heart.

This rich legacy was further developed by his son, Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan, and continues today under the guidance of his grandson, Pir Zia Inayat Khan. Class materials are drawn from the inspired content of these continually evolving teachings.

Our Practices & Activities

We offer in-depth spiritual training through regular classes, seminars, and retreats. While our form is universal, our roots are deeply planted in traditional Islamic Spirituality (Tasawwuf), using Sufi Stories and practice to cultivate Ihsan (spiritual excellence).

Our gatherings are rooted in the traditional pillars of Sufi practice:

• Zikr (Dhikr): The sacred practice of Remembrance through chanting and breath.

• Sohbet: Spiritual conversation and study of the teachings.

• Khidmat: The yoga of service and kinship.

Winter 2026 Schedule:

We are currently finalizing our upcoming dates for Sufi Meditation and Zikr circles.

The Odyssey of Life

A Futuwwa Series

We are called to view our lives not as a series of random events, but as a Quest. Join us for a special session on ‘The Odyssey of Life’, utilizing the Sophic Whorl to map the journey of the soul.

This gathering is rooted in the tradition of Futuwwa (Spiritual Chivalry) — the path of the noble heart. We are honored to be led by Mansur, a Representative of the Inayatiyya. Drawing inspiration from the Parzival legend and the teachings of Pir Zia, Mansur will guide us through the call to spiritual bravery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Sufism is not a religion in the sense of being a system of beliefs, separable from other religions, but rather a school of experience focused on the cultivation of the heart and the deepening of awareness through the practice of prayer, meditation and spiritual inquiry.

“Sufism is not a religion but a way of life that encompasses all religions and spiritual traditions. It is the path of inner transformation and self-realization.” Hazrat Inayat Khan

Sufism is a path of love and self-discovery, where you seek to know yourself and the Divine within. If you are ready to embrace humility, surrender to the present moment, and purify your heart, then Sufism may be the right path for you. It is not about knowing, but about experiencing — if your soul yearns for truth and deeper connection, then you are already on the way.
“The longing to find the truth, to know the truth, is the fundamental aim of the soul.” Hazrat Inayat Khan
Sufism does not ask you to change your religion, rather to live up to the ideals of your faith. The Sufism of the Inayatiyya is universalist in its acceptance of all people and paths leading to the unfoldment of the light and love latent in all human beings.
“The unity of all religions is not a theory, not a concept, but a part of the innermost nature of man.” Hazrat Inayat Khan

As an Inayatiyya center, we are firmly rooted in the spiritual heritage of the Chishtiyya tradition, with a focus on Tasawwuf, Tazkiyat al-nafs, and Adab.  Grounded in these principles, we seek to engage with others with wisdom, compassion, and respect in a spirit of openness.

“A friend of God must have affection like the Sun. When the sun rises, it is beneficial to all irrespective of whether they are Muslim, Christian, or Hindu.” Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti

We offer sessions throughout the week.  (Exceptions for holidays and long weekends)

The primary requirement is an open heart.
“An open heart is the only instrument through which any form of prayer, meditation, or concentration becomes effective.”   Hazrat Inayat Khan
The secondary requirement is maintaining sacredness.
“The atmosphere of sacredness is the atmosphere which is free from worries and anxieties; it is an atmosphere of deep restfulness, peace, and harmony.” Hazrat Inayat Khan

The last requirement is acceptance.

This is a safe space where all individuals, regardless of race, color, creed, sexual orientation, gender identification, or any other personal characteristic, are always welcome and respected.

We believe in equality and strive to ensure that all individuals can express themselves freely and without fear of discrimination in this safe space.

“Human equality is not something that we have to establish; it is a fact which we have only to recognize.” Hazrat Inayat Khan
